how to book a PEO Appointment for home office ?

After 200 comments the system won't show new comments. So please go to this link

  I bet whenever you try to book an appointment you will get a message like these. “If you have been unsuccessful in finding an available appointment, please do not call our contact centre. They do not have any additional appointments available to them.”.


                     I got the same for couple of days and i found a way to get an appointment. on my first attempt (which was before October 1st) i used Google chrome in which you could go back and forward even if the website is down. But you don't get that anymore from 1st of October.(i should say they fixed that bug :) ). if there is will, there a slot. I can't guarantee a slot but it helped a lot of my friends. why not try it?

Its better use Google chrome to use for booking. why? i dunno !I felt its better than Firefox for this purpose.
STEP 1

Time: 11.55 - 11.58
open chrome and open three tabs. do the following steps on two tabs:

1) Log in to UKBA booking page
2) Which service are you applying for?*  Select the form you need [set (O) or m or FLR or whatever] from the drop down menu click next.

3) Are you applying using the premium service?*  Select "Yes" for the premium service
4)How many dependents did you include on your application?*  Select "1 or 2 or ..." from drop down for dependent  and click next.
5) I am available from --leave it blank . Then it will show even if they have date for next day.  but if you really need to add a date, you can try with any date.
6)I am available until -- Leave it blank. But if you really need to add a date try the date put a date after 44 days or 45 but not before 43 days. Trythis link below to check days

7) I am available on the following days of the week : All
8) I  am available at the following time: Anytime
9) Select up to three convenient locations* pick three you want and *****DON'T CLICK NEXT******

                          Do the same on another tab or in another browser (could be better. because they may change it again) before 11.58. Open another tab and just go to UKBA website. this tab is just for the purpose of checking website availability. You don't have to log in . If you log in doesn't make any difference.
NOW wait ... don't do any thing till 12.00. When the clock chimes at 12.00, start refresh UKBA website.Yea , that's the third tab. I am pretty sure you will get a message saying website is temporarily unavailable. for some reason, they always down at 12.00. 
Keep refreshing, and refreshing, and refreshing........12.02....keep refreshing.....wait! is that the website loading? If the answer is YES go to first  OR second tab you made it ready from STEP 1 AND CLICK NEXT.
you are pressing NEXT button the moment after the website is up . So most probably you are going to see a lot of slots. Click anyone of them you need and CLICK NEXT.  if you see next page asking for personal details then you are through..not fully though..

But Relax.....you have time for the next step.
In this page you are going to type main applicant's first name, Surname, Date Of Birth . Type the same if you have any dependent. and WAIT................and refresh the third Tab again to see whether the website is still up. If it is still up, Click next.

What happens if you click next straightway?
            A) if you are really lucky will go through and the site will display a message that you have booked your appointment. i suggest this only to people with no dependent visa applicants. NO offence mate, you wont have enough time to type all these and click next and the website process it and get back to you with a slot allocation. But if you do, get a euro million straightaway, you might win it.
            B) the website will down and whatever you type will lost. You cant go back with <<Back<< Button since October 1st. [may be you can. but it didn't work for me].


        So we typed everything about applicants and waiting .Go to third tab we were checking website connection and refresh to see if there is connection. Wait until there is connection again . The moment you see the site loading, click next on first tab [one that you filled with your details] to book a slot.  IF there is no connection. wait and keep refresh....it might take a minute or five but please wait until you get that site up.

       If you see the site coming back up , go to first tab and click on next to get the slot. If there is some one already does the same, then one who click first gets the slot.
 THEN GO TO second tab and click on next. IF you don't get first tab on time, you probably going to see some slots in second tab and do the process in STEP 2.

NB:
1)  you most probably get first tab done. But now you know how many of you going to do the same trick after reading this :). If you don't get any slot , please don't  type any swearing words here...

2) Some time you will get a mail confirming your slot. but you cant see it in your account. In that case you better book another one or call UKBA to confirm booking. So once you get your slot, please log in to the website and confirm it is in your account. if you cant find your appointment in your account mail to : applyonlinee-support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk to confirm your appointment.

3) If you have a friend with second pc/Laptop just to refresh UKBA site, YOu dont have to change tabs all the time and it will hep to get a slot faster...Just a sugestion!

4) I am just like you with not much knowledge about immigration but may be with a bit Web programming knowledge. So please don't ask me any immigration doubts. If you have any, please try:

  1. Hi.. I once booked the appointment for tier 1 depeendent in feb and booked the appointment 3 months in advance.. But here it says i have to book it 42 days in advance , though i see that we are able to select dates upto 3 months in advance. Could you please let me know if i need to book just 42 days in advance... As i was not getting appointment 3 months from now . Should i wait till its 42 days in advance?

    1. HI,
      Ukba releases appointment slots every night at 00.00. The site will become unavailable for 1-3 minutes. when you search for slots, you can see they releases slots only for a day and that day is exactly 42 days after . They might have release previous cancelled slots. But definitely not after 42 days. I am not an expert on it. But you better check the site frequently. I would suggest you better pick a week for availability and start looking for a slot on sunday and expect to get on wednesday or worse on friday. Try to get appointment atleast a week before your visa expires. But every case is different.

  2. I have exactly the same experience as you. When I select the slots, fill in the form and submit the form, the website went down. I've even tried refreshing for a lot of times and in turn, it says 'error in booking your appointment... can't be processed'. When I thought it is hopeless, all of the sudden when I checked my email, there's an appointment confirmation email. However, I checked it online on my account and it doesn't state that I have any appointment booked. Does it mean that the appointment was made successfully?

  4. I have booked the appointment as you have said. Filled the applicants details and when i clicked finish it took some time and said try after some time.. But after 2 min I have got 2 mails from ukba stating as Appointment confirmed, appoinment notification. I have got with the booking reference number. But it doesnt show in my ukba account. Shall i consider it as booked or shud i call them.. Please suggest..Thankz a lot..

  6. Thanks honeycomb - I tried it last night. The process didn't work as perfectly as you suggested but your recommendations did help as I just kept on refreshing and trying until I got one. As a web developer myself I must say I find it pretty pathetic that the UKBA website can't cope with a bit of traffic ;-) Whomever wrote that system needs to be fired ;)

    what an incredible 14 minutes!

    after painfully reading the forum about this stuff i stumbled across this blog. last night was my first attempt however my PC decided to update at 1150 and i completely messed it up. tonight was 1st serious attempt.

    acouple of points.
    1. i used internet explorer as i couldn't get my chrome working
    2. it took honestly about 7minutes for the page to refresh again at 12am
    3. went to first tab and i managed to book a croyden app at 10am and waited for the third tab to refresh again. i hit next and then it said i lost my appointment
    4. went to my second tab and hit next and managed to get more appointment choices.
    5. went back into my other tab to refresh and all off a sudden my original confirmed appointment was in my account and i got the email 11mins past 12 to say happy days and second confirmation at 16mins past... now just waiting for the adrenline to stop pumping.

    thank you so much. life safer (as i had booked travel in the new year) & sleep saver... lets just say i need my 10hrs ha!

  8. i am trying to get an appointment for myself and 2 dependants. I am able to see appoitments most days. Once I enter the details for booking its show the appoitmnt is no longer available. Can anyone advise on this matter

    1. I have tried yesterday night to book appointment on 12th Dec.

      I could select slot around 3 different times. But after entering personal details (main applicant + 2 dependents) and click confirm booking button, it said this slot no longer available.

      Have you managed to book an appointment?

      If so, please let me know the steps

  9. Yes Honeycomb some days its usually available from 11.30pm then goes offline at 12 midnite after a few mins its back, and in the mornings around 6.30am.

  11. I have been trying for appointments dead on at midnight, for the past three nights, and i have not been able to get any appointments, just messages saying technical issues and no appointments... can someone please tell me if the UKBA have stopped releasing appointments at that time?

    UKBA is releasing appointments sharp at 00:00.The trick is to refresh the page continuously from 11.58pm.You will definitely get one if you have gud typing skills.

  13. there r slots, i have been seeing a few. i was able to book mine a few days ago for sat. after bumping into this thread as previously i wasnt lucky getting an appointment but i have been checking d site to reschedule otherwise i will have to go for my appointment all d same (my centre is quite far :( i would have prefered croydon

  14. The slots released are cancellations from other people , new slots should be released at 12:00 for December around the 6, 7th but nothing for the last few days.

    last night i tried to book appoinment but i see just 5 appoinment for 14 NOV in croydon and there wasnt any appoinment for DEC,when they released for DEC.i tried at 6 and 6:30 but wasnt any appoinment ,. anyone got appt last nigte for DEC??

    I have been keeping an eye on Home office website on daily basis and I can see one day is added on daily basis. What i mean is; for example if I could select latest date of 24 January then after 12, i will be able to select dates up till 25 January. However I couldn't see any slot available for whole of the January.
    Can I get appointment for January ? has anybody got an appointment for Jan?

  40. this is the thing where i get confused. If you look at the dates on calender (during search) then you can select dates up till 27 January 2013. and I can see each day another date is added to the calender. Yesterday i could only select up till 26 Jan, today I can select till 27 Jan.
    However if we read the guidance for 'DATE UNTIL AVAILABLE' (during search)....it says Date should not be more than 42 Days in future. which is confusing. But it could also mean 42 days onward from the start date or initial search date !

  42. Success last night (hopefully).

    - A cheeky submission at midnight for me a degraded quality (text only) html page with date options, but when clicked on it webpage had crashed.
    - Tried again as the webpage came up abt five minutes minutes later and got a similar range of options (London/Solihull, morning slots). HTML quality was normal, not text only.
    - Clicked through (Croydon am) and came to add name/birthday/capatcha page. Submitted immediately (rather than waiting to check website back up as suggested in OP) and went through to a website crash again, rather than confirmation webpage. :-(
    - But confirmation email then came through to email account 1209-ish. :-)

    For context, this was third night of trying - Friday website went down but no appointments came up. Sat webpage didn't go down at all (maybe there wasn't an update?). Sun success.

    Conceptually think of this as a video game. Every webpage you get through in the process is like getting through to a new level. With practice you get good at getting through to each successive level. The only downside is that if you lose a life you need to wait 24 hours to play again!

  50. i have followed the procedure mentioned above as soon as saw the slots without seeing the city i clicked on one and went to the next page filled in my details and then checked again website was down so i kept refreshing the 3rd tab as soon as it was back i went to my booking and pressed next but the website went down again but two mins later i got two emails from ukba booked for 12th dec at liverpool now i dont know if its booked or not.any ideas

Yupee i have emailed ukba last night and got a reply back from them confirming my appointment i also called ukba today and a lady told me they have these problems so if u have emails confirming booking that means u r through.     1. There may be another reason, Dec will be overcrowded. Because they stopped tier1 exactly Dec 2010, huge entry clearance happened. Those people also trying for appointment.

    1. I got 2 booked for 11 dec apparently, I do not need 2 really.

    2. 1) Get any available appointment - any day, any PEO - during the day. Loads of cancellations are becoming available during the day and usually they are not disappearing fast so you will have a chance to enter all the personal details. Use FireFox and Check4Change plugin what will reload your search page every minute or so.

      2) On 0:00 reschedule your appointment to day and PEO you want. You don't need to enter details and captcha when rescheduling, just one click to confirm after slot selection.

    Lat night I tried with my friend and he was able to see 13 Nov (2 slots) at Croydon. This was when the availability dates were left blank.

    I want to know from other users that are they entering the specific dates they want the appointment for? or just leaving it blank to pick the ones just available?

  62. There were lots of slot available yesterday night at 12.20AM for Croydon. I have rescheduled my appointment to Croydon!!!

    Rescheduling is easy as it is not asking firstname, lastname and DOB again. Just needs to select a slot and confirm.

I had two appointment confirmed by email but only 1 of the two shows on my online profile, so I called to cancel one not showing on my profile, the guy on the phone was very helpful and was happy to cancel the appointment which though got confirmed by email it doesn't show on my profile. So was happy with the one on my profile. Few hours later I logged in to my HO acct and noticed th only transaction listed was the cancelled one, it has replaced the active appointment that was visible before calling th 0870 number. My question now is how do I monitor the other appointment now that its no longer visible to me. Do I have to just believe I still have and just show up at the PEO?

  67. this forum is really helpful, last night i was able to fill my details 5 times to book the appointment but as soon as i submit the form to book the appointment it says it no longer available. i am really struggling with this now, i got two dependants and i think that is the main reason i can not submitt the form straight way. any help please

I'm having lots of trouble finding one for my wife and I and son (my wife is the main applicant with 2 dependents.)   75. it is very frustrating that i was unable to book an appointment last night ....same problem fill in the details and when i submit it, it was no longer availabe. i think people who have dependents 1 or 2 will not be able to book it online. i call ukba today and they said they can not do any thing with this. it is very frustrating resposne from ukba. if any body got any cancellations please let me know. any help or suggestion will be much appreciated. i have tried every thing and every time of the day and night but can not get one.

    3. I cancelled a SET(O) appointment, I am not sure the type of application has any restrictions on the availability of slots. I booked it yesterday, the one which I cancelled didn't show up on my account(this got booked when the system went down 3rd time I guess), but I received an email about this appointment.

      Thanks to OP, the method worked exactly as described, I booked it using firefox, and some odd reasons it retained the details of the applicants(main + 1 dependant) from the unsuccessful try just a min ago, so it helped me a bit in getting the slot.

    I've been trying to book a BR1 appointment (2 dependents) but no luck. For me I'd prefer the earlier the better (a cancellation.) Any tips when the cancellations get released?

    Are they released at 12am or at any point any day?

    1. Yes it is open till 12:00 on Dec 24th. On 27th and 28th it is open for full business hours and on 31th it is open till 12:00. I don't know if this is applicable to all peo's. I am sure these are timings for liverpool PEO and seen it on UKBA website.

  95. There were loads of slots on tonight at 12 but couldn't get one . I tried so hard but page kept gong down after I chose a slot . And I did manage to get as far as typing in the security word then when pressed enter it went into error . So no luck . I can't understand do they out the slots in for a bit then take them off coz there is never one even left

  112. The system seems getting worse by the day. I've been trying from 12 midnight for the past 2 weeks and unable to see any appointments showing up at all - always none or technical error. This wasn't the case about 4-6 weeks ago when I can say with a level of assurance that appointments shows up at 00:03-00:10 and 00:13:00.20. Now nothing, what a system, I could build better appointment scheduling web system with better reliability.
